Audience and Age Policy
The Copper Steps demo is intended for an audience aged 18 and older. This is a policy of the guide rather than a universal legal requirement or an enforced age gate within the browser interface. Users access the game directly without a registration form or sign-in process to verify their age. The absence of a strict gate means players rely on their own discretion to determine if they are of the appropriate age to play.
Voluntary Breaks and Limits
Players can take breaks at any time by closing the browser tab or refreshing the page. However, refreshing does not refund the stake if the round has started but not yet settled. The demo uses virtual coins with no cash value, so losses do not represent real financial debt. There are no automatic limits on spending or time spent playing, so users must self-monitor their usage.
Virtual Coin Mechanics
The game uses a virtual wallet that starts with 1000 coins. Stakes are deducted once at the start of a spin, and returns are settled automatically after 650 milliseconds. A matching score returns 3.8 times the stake, while a miss returns zero. Fractional tenths of coins are carried over, but only whole coins are credited to the balance.
Data and Privacy Context
The demo saves balance, fractional carry and round status in browser localStorage. It has no fields for a name, email, account or payment details. Google Fonts and Statinside requests are declared, while their complete data processing and retention have not been established here. Removing this site’s stored data is different from clearing cached files.
Questions and answers
Is there an enforced age gate?
No. The 18+ label is a guide policy, not a technical enforcement. You can access the game immediately without verifying your age.
What happens if I refresh during a round?
The round settles automatically after 650 milliseconds. If you refresh before settlement, the stake is lost and not refunded, and the round does not resume.
Are virtual coins real money?
No. The coins have no cash value and cannot be withdrawn. They are used solely for the demo experience.
